ANG nakaraan natin ay designed by God. Kung pag-aaralan natin ang mga karanasan ng believers sa Old Testaments tulad ni Joseph, “The dreamer” ay mahirap isipin ang kanyang karanasan sa kamay mismo ng kanyang mga kapatid.

Si Joseph ay ibinenta sa Egyptian traders. Nabilanggo rin siya nang walang kadahilanan. He was framed up! For many years he suffered much. We knew the story, until he was asked to interpret the dreams of the king, until he was released from the jail. Aside from freedom, he was given a high position in the government next only to the king.

Si Moses ay nakaranas din ng hindi maganda sa Egypt. Although, he was raised by Pharaoh’s sister in the palace. Pero nang tumulong siya sa kapwa niya Hebreo siya’y inusig hanggang siya ay mapadpad sa Mt. Horeb kung saan niya nakatagpo ang Diyos na si “I Am that I AM”.

Si Abraham ay lumisan sa kanilang sariling bayan para tumungo sa lugar na ipinangako ng Diyos sa kanya. Sa kabila noon, siya’y nakaranas ng iba’t ibang pagsubok at panganib mula sa iba’t ibang tribo. Still, Abraham committed himself sa Diyos at sa pangakong lugar para sa kanya.

Minsan naiisip natin, bakit kailangan pa natin maranasan ang ganitong pangyayari sa buhay natin. Kaya’t naitatanong natin sa ating sarili, “Bakit kailangan mangyari ito sa atin?” Minsan pa o madalas pa, naiisip natin na sumuko o mag-give up na sa buhay na ito. But, as a believer, let’s claim ‘yun blessings para sa atin.

“Never, never, never give up,” sabi nga ni Winston Churchill! Remember, our past is designed by God. We must reflect and discern God’s work in our lives.

I had a relative very close to me; he was a victim of local politics, although he was civil service eligible. He was removed from the position. Until he was recruited in the regional job and even his work, still the local politician was after him. But God is in control. We thought that what happened to him was not good and unfair. Until, he was promoted in higher position. Blessing in disguise ‘yung ginawa ng local politician sa relative kong ito at siya ang naging daan para lalong tumaas ang kanyang katungkulan at lalong magamit ang kanyang talent, skill and education.

Our past is designed by God, more so, if we are trusting him and he will direct our paths. Commit to him whatever we do for our plan will succeed, as the book of proverb is telling us! (gival777@myyahoo.com)
