NANGAKO si Senador Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa na tutulungan ang Department of Health sa inilunsad nitong Substance Abuse Helpline 155 nitong Biyernes upang isalba ang mga nabiktima ng illegal drugs at iba pang kemikal sa gitna ng pandemyang coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Dela Rosa, chairman ng Senate committee on public order and illegal drugs na patuloy niyang susuportahan ang kampanya ng pamahalaan laban sa pagkalat ng droga.
Isa si Dela Rosa sa mga speaker sa ginanap na Online Grand Launch of the “Substance Abuse Helpline 1550” ng Department of Health (DoH) nitong Biyernes.
“Amidst the pandemic, we certainly have not relegated the war on drugs on the side. This remains a major concern of government that deserves all the support and attention we can give From our end at the Senate, let me assure our countrymen that the Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs is leaving no stones unturned in seeking better and stronger ways to fight the illegal drug menace,” Dela ayon kay Rosa.
Sinabi ng senador, nanguna sa paglulunsad ng giyera laban sa droga bilang hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP), na sa ganitong pagkilos, hindi lamang tutugisin ang mga drug peddler kundi ililigtas ang buhay ng kanilang biktima.
Iginiit ng bagong senador na mahalaga ang DoH Substance Abuse Helpline 155 sa pagsugpo ng droga.
“Under the ‘new normal’, we have shifted largely to the use of telecommunications in our daily lives. And with this added helpline facility that the DOH has established, we hope to send the message to our countrymen that they can seek help at anytime, anywhere and be assured that the government is there for them, ready to lend a hand at all times. This is to assure every Filipino that help is easily accessible, fast and reliable. We want to save and help rebuild lives,” aniya.
Sa kanyang speech, pinahalagahan din ni Dela Rosa ang angkin resiliency ng mga Filipino sa gitna ng bawat krisis at hamon sa buhay. (ESTONG REYES)
