IKOKONSIDERANG “excused” ang government employees na liliban sa kanilang trabaho kapag magpapabakuna ang mga ito laban sa COVID-19.

Ito ang nilalaman ng advisory ni Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairman Karlo Nograles sa lahat ng mga empleyado ng gobyerno na magpapabakuna, primary dose man o booster shot.

Inilabas ng opisyal ang advisory sa gitna ng Bayanihan, Bakunahan National COVID-19 Vaccination Days, Part IV na sinimulan noong Marso 10 hanggang ngayong araw (March 12) sa buong bansa.

Nilinaw ng opisyal na umiiral pa rin ang CSC Memorandum Circular No. 16, s. 2021, nakasaad na “Absence from work during the day of inoculation of the first and second dose of COVID-19 vaccine, including future booster shots, whenever applicable, shall be considered as an excused absence”.

Layon ng nasabing circular na bigyan ng panahon ang lahat ng mga empleyado ng gobyerno na magkaroon ng bakuna upang maprotektahan ang mga ito sa COVID-19 lalo na’t hindi pa tapos ang pandemya.

“The memo circular also allows the filing of excused absence if the absence is due to the required treatment or for a recuperation period from adverse events following immunization (AEFI) of the first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine or booster shot,” ani Nograles.

Sinabi ng opisyal, pinapayagan ang lahat ng government employees na lumiban sa kanilang trabaho sa loob ng 15 araw kapag nakaranas ang mga ito ng AEFI pagkatapos mabakunahan.

“On the other hand, a maximum of three (3) calendar days may be allowed for non-serious or minor AEFIs which may include tenderness, pain, warmth, redness, itching or swelling on the injection; generally feeling unwell; feeling tired (fatigue); chills or feeling feverish; headache; and joint pain or muscle ache.

Kailangang lamang magpakita ng ebidensya na nagpabakuna ang mga ito sa pamamagitan ng pagsusumite ng kopya ng kanilang vaccination card at kapag nagkaroon ang mga ito ng AEFI ay dapat mayroong doctor’s certificate na ipipresenta. (BERNARD TAGUINOD)
