Pormal na ipinagkaloob sa Bureau of Customs (BOC) Subport of Dumaguete ang ISO 9001:2015 Certification ng TüvSüd Asia Pacific.
Sa pamamagitan ng virtual awarding ceremony na isinagawa noong nakaraang Abril 5, 2021, Lunes, ang aktibidad ay dinaluhan nina BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero kasama ang kaniyang mga Deputy Commissioners at District Collectors, Subport Collector of Dumaguete Fe Lluelyn G. Toring at ang mga customs personnel.
Ang award of certificate ay isinagawa ni TüvSüd Asia Pacific Business Development Manager Rustan V. Torre.
Ang ISO 9001:2015 Certification ay isang international standard na tumutukoy sa kagalingan at kalidad ng isang management system. Gamit ng organisasyon ang standard para magpakita ng abilidad upang makapagbigay ng serbisyo sa kanilang mga kliyente.

This program has indeed allowed us to demonstrate our ability to consistently provide services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. Matatandaan ang Subport ay nakapasa sa External Audit noong nakaraang Marso 2, 2020 na kung saan ang review ay naka-pokus sa kanilang ‘management system documented information and evaluation of site-specific conditions’.
Ang Final Audit ay isinagawa noog nakaraang December 1, 2020 na ang Subport ay nakitang natupad ang requirements, kaya inirekomenda para magkaroon ng ISO certification.
Ang TüvSüd Management Service ay isang German auditing and certification service provider, na nagsagawa ng audits para matukoy ang Dumaguete sa pagsunod sa ISO standards.
Layunin ng ISO certification ng customs units at mga opisina nito ay para sa inisyatiba ni Commissioner Guerrero na mapadali ang proseso ng Bureau of Customs sa pagbibigay ng mahusay na serbisyo sa lahat ng kanilang stakeholders. (Joel O. Amongo)
