Ang Philippine Harvest ay muling nagbabalik para sa kanilang ikapitong edisyon kung saan itatampok nito ang mga ipinagmamalaki ng lalawigan ng Antique.
Ang Philippine Harvest ay proyekto ng Department of Tourism (DOT).
Kasiyahan, pagkain at moda ng Kanlurang Visaya na kilala rin sa kanilang industriyang pag-hahabi ang siyang bibida sa Central Square sa Bonifacio Global City para sa tatlong-araw ng sustainable food at travel fair.
“For this edition of Philippine Harvest, the spotlight will be put on our indigenous textile. These fabrics made from cotton, piña, and abaca are important part of our farmers’ harvest alongside the crops and livestock,” pagbabahagi ni DOT Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat.
Mahigit sa 10 mga samahan ng paghahabi ang magpapakita ng kanilang bantog na mga pa-tadyong o ang mga multi-functional wrap-around cloth na yari sa cotton at mayroon itong pattern, mayroon ding handwoven scarf, shawl, bags, t-shirts, shoes, hand-painted pillows, bariw at banig bags, place mats, carpets, hot pods, runner, embroidered products, at accessories bilang proyekto rin ng DOT-SSI Group, Inc.
Samantala, ang Bagtason Loomweavers Association Inc., Sab-ong Local Artists, Al Bin Souvenirs, Jeff de Asis souvenirs, Tibiao Active Weavers and Knotters Association, Malabor Abaca Piña Weavers Association, Sto. Rosario Multi-purpose Cooperative, Antique Development Foundation Inc., San Pedro Embroidery, Buri Handicraft Association, Centro Este Development Association, Association of Differently Abled Persons-Antique, at Produkto Puro Antikenyo ang siyang mga bibida sa itatampok na mga tela at handicraft artisan groups sa naturang lalawigan.
“Part of our sustainable tourism advocacy is supporting local artisans, protecting heirloom traditions, and preserving our rich heritage for the future generations to come,” dagdag pa ni Secretary Puyat.
Naririto rin ang food exhibitors na kinabibilangan ng Laua-an Multi-purpose Cooperative, Ariana’s Coco Products, Enriqueta’s, Bulolacao-Calooy-Tulatula-Sikap Organization, 2Ms, Camp Eufre Farmers Association, Esparar Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Stone Cave United La-Union Farmers Association na siyang magpapakilala sa mga produkto tulad ng muscovado sugar, candies, virgin coconut oil products, roasted coffee, peanut, taro chips, sweet potato chips, ginger, turmeric, squash, monggo, kadyos, batwan, corn, gabi, canton squash, at maging moringga powder.
Masisiyahan din ang mga magsisipagdalo dahil sa samu’t saring mga kakanin, vegan food products, local coffee, organic fruits and vegetables, artisanal tuyo, at gourmet salted egg ang makikita rito.
Ang Philippine Harvest ay bukas sa publiko at wala itong bayad. Ito ay magsisimula sa Nobyembre 29 at magtatapos sa Disyembre 1, mula alas-11:00 ng umaga hanggang alas-11:00 ng gabi (Biyernes-Sabado) at alas-11:00 ng umaga hanggang alas-10:00 ng gabi (Linggo) sa Central Square sa Bonifacio Global City.
