PHILRACOM Chairman’s Cup KAMPEON SI BOSS EMONG

PINATUNAYAN ng kaba yong si Boss Emong na siya ang pinaka-astig sa lahat nang bumida sa PHILRACOM Chairman’s Cup nitong Linggo sa Metro Manila Turf Club sa Malvar, Batangas.

Pinalipad ng hineteng si Fernando “Dhunoy” Raquel si Boss Emong sa final stretch ng 1,800-meter upang ma-takeover si Sky Shot.

Nagtangkang humabol ang pre-race favorite na si Super Swerte ngunit sa huli ay nanaig pa rin si Boss Emong.

Ang kampeong grey galloper ay pag-aari ni Edward Vincent Diokno na nagbulsa ng P1. 2 milyong premyo sa race na parangal kay late Philracom Chairman Andrew Sanchez.

“I’m very pleased with the way Boss Emong performed to win this one. But I tell you, you have not yet seen the best of my horse,” sabi ni Diokno.

Pumangalawa si Super Swerte na nag-uwi ng P400,000, at P200,000 para sa pumangatlong si Pangalusian Island.

Pumang-apat si Heneral Kalentong na kumolekta ng P100,000 habang may consolation prize din sina Shanghai Grey (P60,000) at Son Also Rises (P40,000) para sa fifth at sixth place.

Personal na tinanggap ng anak ni former Chairman Sanchez ang plaque of recognition bilang parangal sa huli.

“I’m very honored and happy for this plaque of recognition as well as my mom and my siblings. The races continue to be exciting. Thank you Philracom,” wika ni Miren Sanchez.

Ang iba pang awardees noong Linggo ay si Philracom’s Summer Racing Festival winningest jockey Jesse B. Guce, at runnerup honors kina John Alvin Guce at Jonathan B. Hernandez.

Si Manuelito Mamucod ang top trainer habang si Peter Aguila ang second at third si Renato Yamco.

Pinarangalan din bilang Summer Festival’s longshot horse si Gabriel Gaerlan’s Rio de Janiero. Ang runner-up honors ay napunta kina Lady Arya of Reynante Santos at Clear Talk of Jesus Pabilic.
