Sa P2.4-B laptop deal ng DepEd FRAUD AUDIT HIRIT NI VP SARA

HINILING ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa fraud audit ng Commission on Audit (COA) na silipin ang diumano’y overpriced at outdated laptops na binili para sa mga guro.

Sinabi ni DepEd Undersecretary and Chief-of-staff Epimaco Densing III, naipadala na nila ang liham para kay COA Chairperson Jose Calida.

“In the meantime, while we are not yet declaring that there is a fraudulent transaction that happened at that time, were also not saying that there is none… Kaya nga po ang direktiba po sa’min ni Secretary, ni VP Sara, paimbestigahan niyo na ‘yan, para makita kung mayroon bang kalokohan o wala,” ayon kay Densing.

Sinabi ni Densing na nagbigay ng basbas si Vice-President at DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte na hilingin sa fraud audit ng COA na silipin ang pagbili sa P2.4 bilyong halaga ng laptops sa pamamagitan ng Procurement Services of the Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM).

“Ang tinitingnan po namin ngayon is not an official investigation yet, and this is the reason why we are asking COA to do a fraud audit, the reason why it was downgraded from 1.9 gigahertz to 1.8 gigahertz. At the same time tumaas din ang presyo, and why is it [an] Intel Celeron,” dagdag na pahayag nito.
