Ito ang reaction ng mga abogado ni Kris Aquino, matapos sabihin ni Atty. Jesus Falcis na pinagbantaan ng actress ang kapatid niyang si Nicko Falcis.
Si Nicko Falcis ang idinemanda ni Aquino ng 44 counts of qualified theft ng halagang P1.27 million.
Matatandaang sa isang emotional na video, sinabi ni Atty. Falcis na, “I know for a fact and I heard it personally. Miss Aquino threatened my brother. She said: ‘You fucking asshole, Nicko. ‘Wag kang tatapak dito sa Pilipinas (Don’t set foot here in the Philippines). Dare to step in this country and you will be dead.’”
Sinabi pa ni Falcis na hindi nila binabalewala ang threat na ito, dahil si Kris ay anak at kapatid ng dalawang dating pangulo ng bansa.
“The reality is, I never imagined I would hear someone I just used to watch on television, and the daughter of Ninoy and Cory Aquino to say those things,” dagdag pa ni Falcis.
“She brags that she has powerful friends, and I have a screenshot to show this. That is the reason why my brother is not here, will not be here during the preliminary investigation later and will not be here on my dad’s birthday on Sunday,” paghahayag pa ni Falcis.
Pinabulaanan din nito na nagnakaw ang kapatid niyang si Nicko, at ang mga ganitong bintang ay “baseless and totally ridiculous.”
“Qualified theft, for a lawyer like me, you need to physically take…kailangan po may physical taking para masabing nakaw. How can you steal a credit card charge if all of the credit charges were authorized?” tanong pa nito.
Sinagot ito ng mga abogado ni Aquino (ang legal team niya mula sa Divina Law), ng: “Kris Aquino is not capable of having someone killed, kaya niya nga dinemanda si Nicko. Ang statement na ito ng lawyers ni Kris ay pinoste niya sa kanyang Instagram page.
Dagdag pa ng mga abogado, “surprising” na si Atty. Falcis ay nagsasalita para sa kanyang kapatid dahil “he (Nicko) has not submitted any counter-affidavit until now. There is no warrant for his arrest. Why is he hiding? Flight is an admission of guilt.”
Sinabi pa ng Divina Law na “Kris will still be filing other cases,” pero hindi na sila nagbigay ng detalye. Ayon sa kanila, ang ganitong usapin ay “best resolved in the prosecutor’s office and in the courts.”
Inaasahang pupunta si Kris ngayong Lunes sa Quezon City para magsampa ng formal charges sa prosecutor’s office.
Sabi ng law firm ni Kris, sinubukan nilang i-settle ang mga kaso amicably, pero si Nicko at ang mga abogado at kamag-anak nito ay “unreasonable, unwilling and insincere.”
