SM Supermalls Opens Mall-Based Voter Registration for 2025 BSKE

Done and empowered! Successful registrants pose after completing the voter registration process at SM City CDO Uptown.

With the 2025 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) happening this December, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) partners once again with SM Supermalls to bring voter registration closer to the people. From August 1 to 10, 2025, 35 SM malls and 11 more SM establishments nationwide will serve as official satellite registration hubs, allowing voters to register, update, or reactivate their voter records easily and conveniently inside the malls they already know and love. Registration is open from 8:00AM to 5:00PM and subject to the schedule per location below.

A steady stream of registrants line up at various SM City Supermalls as COMELEC’s satellite registration begins.

This initiative builds on the success of previous mall voting efforts. During the May 2025 National and Local Elections, SM hosted over 37,000 voters across 20 malls, achieving an 81% turnout — the highest among venue partners. “We’re proud to offer more than just convenience — we’re creating a platform for inclusive civic engagement,” said Steven Tan, President of SM Supermalls.

Mall-Based Voter Registration: Comfort, Convenience, Civic Duty

Ease and accessibility for every Juan! Senior citizens and PWDs complete their voter registrations with the help of COMELEC officers at various SM Supermalls.

Registering to vote at SM malls means no more long lines under the sun, difficult commutes, or unclear directions. Voters—especially senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and pregnant women—can enjoy air-conditioned venues, spacious walkways, food options, and secure environments while fulfilling their civic duty.

Young Filipinos gets civic-ready! First-time voters beam with excitement after registering at SM City San Jose Del Monte.
