SINABI ni Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles na palalawigin pa ng tatlong buwan ang state of calamity dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic na magtatapos sana ngayong Lunes, Setyembre 12.

Sinabi ni Cruz-Angeles na ang nasabing extended time ay para lamang sa “indemnification, emergency procurement, and special risk allowance for health care workers.”

“The state of calamity is extended for possibly three months but only for the purpose of preserving the benefits under it such as but not limited to the indemnification, emergency procurement, special risk allowance for healthcare workers,” paliwanag ni Cruz-Angeles.

“We will transition out of the state of calamity after further review,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Matatandaang September 13, 2020 nang unang magdeklara si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ng state of calamity dahil sa pandemya. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
