INANUNSYO ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na ipatutupad nila ang kautusan mula sa Malacañang kaugnay sa pagpapalawig sa arrival ban sa 7 bansa hanggang Hunyo 30, 2021.

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, ayon sa utos ng Palasyo, ang pagbabawal sa pagpasok sa bansa ng mga biyahero na galing sa India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, United Arab Emirates, at Oman ay mananatili hanggang sa katapusan ng nasabing buwan.

“Those with a travel history from these countries within the last 14 days before arrival are also temporarily banned from entering,” ani Morente.

Nilinaw rin niya na ang transiting passengers, o ang hindi nag-exit sa airport o klinaro na ng immigration sa nasabing mga bansa ay hindi sakop ng nasabing travel ban.

“They are not considered to have been admitted in a country if they are there for a mere layover,” paglilinaw niya.

Sinabi naman ni BI Port Operations Division Chief Atty. Carlos Capulong, ang kasalukuyang travel restrictions ay nananatili. “Our immigration officers are on standby and ready to service arriving repatriation flights with our kababayan from these 7 countries”.

Bukod sa travel ban sa 7 bansa, ang Pilipinas ay nagpapatupad ng restriction sa parating na mga turista. “Arriving foreign tourists are not yet allowed, unless authorized by the Department of Foreign Affairs through the country’s foreign posts abroad,” ani Capulong. (JOEL O. AMONGO)
