HINDI agad kinumpirma ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na nagkabaggaan ang ipinadala nilang resupply boat at China Coast nitong Lunes sa Ayungin shoal.

Subalit ibinasura ng AFP ang inilabas na narrative ng China na sinisisi sa Pilipinas ang nangyaring sea collision.

“The main issue remains to be the illegal presence and actions of Chinese vessels within the Philippines’ EEZ, which infringes on our sovereignty and sovereign rights. The continued aggressive actions of the CCG are escalating tensions in the region,” ayon pa AFP.

Iniulat ng China Coast Guard na nagkabanggaan ang barko ng Pilipinas at China sa Ayungin Shoal na isang submerged reef sa may Spratly Islands sa West Philippine Sea nitong Lunes.

Sa inilabas na statement ng CCG, binalewala umano ng resupply ship ng Pilipinas ang paulit-ulit na babala mula sa panig ng China.

Inakusahan din nito ang barko ng PH na siyang lumapit sa unprofessional na paraan na nagresulta umano sa banggaan.

Pinaratangan din ng CCG ang barko ng PH na ilegal umanong pumasok sa karagatan malapit sa Ayungin Shoal sa Spratly Islands.

Isinusulat ito, wala pang inilalabas na pahayag ang Pilipinas kaugnay sa pinakabagong insidente sa Ayungin Shoal.

“The AFP will not discuss operational details on the legal humanitarian rotation and resupply mission at Ayungin Shoal, which is well within our EEZ,” ayon kay AFP Public Affairs Office chief Colonel Xerxes.

Hindi rin naglabas ng pahayag maging ang Philippine Coast Guard hinggil sa pangyayari.

Ayon kay Commodore Jay Tarriela, tagapagsalita ng PCG sa West Philippine, hindi sila ang namahala sa resupply mission.

“As far as the PCG is concerned, we are not in a position to provide any details on this issue. This is not a PCG operation,” ani Tarriela.

Kaugnay nito, mariing kinondena sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang tumitinding panlilinlang ng China kaugnay ng banggaan ng supply ship ng Pilipinas at CCG.

“China’s statement projecting the collision as a way to control the supposed illegal entry of Philippine vessels in the area reeks of its characteristic deception when it comes to maritime issues in the West Philippine Sea,” ani ACT party-list Rep. France Castro.

Base sa mga report, hinarang at sinadyang banggain ng barko ng CCG ang barko ng Pilipinas na nagdadala ng supply sa mga sundalong nakadeploy sa BRP Sierra Madre sa Ayungin Shoal kahapon ng umaga.

“This collision involving a Chinese Coast Guard vessel and Philippine supply boats is a clear act of harassment and violation of our sovereign rights.This latest provocative action is part of China’s persistent unlawful presence and illegal activities in the West Philippine Sea,” ayon pa kay Castro.

Mula 2012 ay binabakuran na ng China ang WPS na isinama ng mga ito sa kanilang nine-dash line kaya nagsampa ng kaso ang administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III sa Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) kung saan pinagtibay ang karapatan ng Pilipinas sa WPS.

“We condemn in the strongest terms China’s shameless lies and continued bullying in our own maritime territories. The Marcos administration must take a firm stand in upholding our sovereignty and protecting our national patrimony from Beijing’s creeping invasion,” ended the progressive lawmaker,” giit pa ni Castro.
