Gen. Antonio Nafarrete bilang ika-61 Chief of Staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines, kahalili ng magreretirong si Gen. Romeo S. Brawner.
Hinirang ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. si Army Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete bilang bagong AFP chief of Staff kapalit ni Gen.
“The Department of National Defense, upon the authority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., is pleased to announce the appointment of Lieutenant General Antonio G. Nafarrete as the incoming Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, following the retirement of General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. today,” ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ng DND.
“The DND congratulates Lieutenant General Nafarrete and Lieutenant General Gumiran on their appointments and looks forward to their leadership in upholding professionalism, excellence, and dedicated service to the Filipino people,” ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ni Asec. Arsenio R. Andolong, spokesperson, Department of National Defense.
