ITINALAGA ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. si Atty. Jose Arturo “Jay Art” Tugade  bilang bagong hepe ng Land Transportation Office (LTO).

Matapos manumpa sa kanyang tungkulin sa harap ni  Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, sinabi ni Atty. Tugade sa isang kalatas, nangako siyang ipatutupad ang reporma sa loob ng ahensiya at paghuhusayin  ang serbisyong ibinibigay sa tao.

“We are partners for progress, advocates of safety, and must be champions of excellence and efficiency. Foremost, we need to remember that we are in the service industry. Hence, we need to focus and improve the quality of our customer service to the public,” ayon kay Atty. Tugade.

Bilang bagong  LTO Chief, binigyang diin nito ang pagpo-promote sa pinaigting na  road safety campaign  bilang isa sa kanyang  top priorities.

Para magawa ito, committed si Atty. Tugade na palakasin ang presensya ng LTO enforcers para tamang ipatupad ang  transportation laws at traffic codes.

Bukod sa paghuhusayin ang kalidad ng service delivery at itataguyod ang road safety, nangako si Atty. Tugade na wawalisin niya ang korapsyon sa hanay ng LTO.

Tinukoy nito, isa sa paraan para tugunan ito ay gawing limitado ang “human intervention” sa iba’t ibang agency transactions  sa pamamagitan ng digitalization.

“In order to address corruption, we will take steps to improve transparency and reduce, if not eliminate, human intervention. To this end, we shall exert all efforts to digitize our agency,” ayon kay Atty. Tugade.

“What we can assure everyone is that I am an obedient soldier. I will perform and execute tasks assigned to me with passion and efficiency. I will work closely with Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista to ensure that the direction and marching order of the President of further developing transportation will be delivered,” ang winika pa ni Atty. Tugade.

Si Atty. Jay Art Tugade ay  prime mover sa “transport and logistics service industry.”

Nagtapos siya ng Bachelor of Law mula sa  San Beda College Manila  taong 2010.

Inilaan niya ang kanyang  undergraduate years sa kahalintulad na eskuwelahan kung saan siya nagtapos  bilang  valedictorian  sa  Bachelor of Arts and Science sa Business Management and Entrepreneurship taong  2003. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
