Halos 1.1 bilyon na scam at spam messages ang naharang ng Globe sa unang tatlong buwan ng 2023 sa patuloy na kampanya nito laban sa online fraud, kaakibat ng pagpapatupad ng SIM Registration Act. Tumaas ng limang beses ang spam at scam messages na naharang ng Globe kumpara sa 217.31 milyon na naitala noong unang quarter ng nakaraang taon. A man using information from a stolen phone to scam unsuspecting customers of the victim was arrested by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in collaboration with the leading e-wallet GCash. A victim filed a complaint against Fritz Kelly Siscar, a resident of Brgy. San Bartolome, Quezon City.
