INATASAN ni Senador Grace Poe ang lahat ng ahensiya ng pamahalaan na magdoble-kayod sa pagkakaroon ng digital transaction upang mapabilis ang paghahatid ng serbisyo sa online at makaiwas ang mamamayan at organisasyon sa sakit habang tumataas ang kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Poe na dapat mabilis ang online transaction at serbisyo at makatulong ang pamahalaan na makatipid ang mamamayan sa pangmatagalan.
“Online transactions and services should be faster and could help government save money in the long run. We have been in this situation since March 2020 and there’s still a lot of room for improvement. Except for situations that require people to be physically present such as in capturing their biometrics, many other services should be done online,” ayon kay Poe, chairperson ng Senate committee on banks, financial institutions and currencies.
Iniulat ng Department of Health na nagkaroon ng record-high 18,332 bagong kaso COVID-19 nitong Lunes. Pero hindi pa nakikita ang epekto ng pinakahuling lockdown enhanced community quarantine.
“This is the pressing time to embark on the new normal, especially for government services. In the long run, the government can even realize savings from overhead expenses such as rent and utilities,” ayon kay Poe.
Tinukoy ni Poe na kabilang sa ahensya na dapat magpabilis ng digitalization ang National Bureau of Investigation, Land Transportation Office, at Bureau of Internal Revenue, upang maiwasan ang mahabang pila sa mga tanggapan na ito sa pagkuha ng clearance at lisensya. (ESTONG REYES)
