NAHIGITAN ng Bureau of Custom ang kanilang naitalang revenue collection noong 2023 nang umakyat ang nakolektang kita ng Aduana sa P931.046 bilyong nitong 2024, sa likod ng epekto ng tariff reduction sa bigas at iba pang imported items.

Ayon sa BOC, mas mataas sa 2023 collection nitong P874.166 billion ang kanilang revenue collection para sa nakalipas na taon ng 2024.

Ipinagmalaki pa ng Aduana, ang full-year 2024 revenue collection ay nakamit “despite the lower 2024 baseline due to the impact of tariff reduction in rice and selected electric vehicles, and deferment of priority reforms such as excise tax on pick-ups under the Capital Market Promotion Efficiency Act.”

Nagawa ring malagpasan ang revenue targets ng ilang ports gaya ng Legazpi, Tacloban, Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Clark, at Cagayan De Oro.

Nakalikha ang BOC ng karagdagang P2.710 bilyon sa kita nito sa pamamagitan ng post-clearance audits at voluntary disclosure applications.

Sinasabing umabot ng P13.238 bilyon ang koleksyon ng BOC mula sa Tax Expenditure Fund mula sa government importations.

Malaking ambag din umano ang koleksyon ng BOC para pondohan ang mahahalagang serbisyo ng Marcos administration.

Samantala, noong 2024 ay ipinakilala ng BOC ang ilang polisiya at inisyatibo nito para mapabilis ang proseso ng pagbabayad at mapabuti ang stakeholder experience.

“Among these is the Electronic Payment Portal System (ePay), implemented through Customs Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 06-2024, which enables stakeholders to pay customs duties, taxes, and other fees online, minimizing physical transactions and enhancing efficiency,” pahayag ng kawanihan.

“Strategic partnerships further strengthened the BOC’s payment systems. The BOC formalized a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with LandBank of the Philippines to utilize the Link.BizPortal for digital payment processing,” dagdag pa.
