LAGUESMA, OPLE, BALICASAN PASOK SA GABINETE NI BBM

TINANGGAP ng tatlong personalidad ang alok sa kanila na maging bahagi ng Cabinet ni incoming President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Sinabi ni Atty. Vic Rodriguez, tagapagsalita ni Marcos Jr., na tinanggap ni dating Labor secretary Bienvenido “Benny” Laguesma ang alok na pamunuan ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at overseas Filipino worker advocate Susan “Toots” Ople para pamunuan naman ang Department of Migrant Workers.

“Yes, they both accepted their nomination,” ayon kay Rodriguez.

Si Laguesma ay naging pinuno ng DOLE sa panahon ng Estrada administration, habang si Ople naman ay dating Labor undersecretary sa panahon ng administrasyong Arroyo.

Samantala, ibabalik ni Marcos Jr., si Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) chair Arsenio Balisacan para pamunuan ang National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), tinanggap na rin ni Balisacan ang alok sa kanya.

Si Balisacan ay nagsilbi bilang director general ng NEDA sa ilalim ng namayapang dating Pangulong Benigno Aquino III.

“I’ve asked him to return to NEDA. I’ve worked with him extensively at the time when I was governor, we have very similar thinking in that regard kaya’t malakas ang loob ko, I know he’s very competent, I know his policies are policies that will be for the betterment of our country,” ayon kay Marcos Jr.

Si Balisacan, sa kabilang dako ay nagpahayag na sasama siya sa bagong gabinete matapos na pamunuan nito ng anim na taon ang PCC, “mindful of the immense work needed to accelerate economic recovery and post-recovery development.”

“In returning to a post I have previously held, we rely on experience and judicious reckoning of socio economic issues to build stronger foundations for a more robust, more inclusive, and more resilient Philippine economy,” dagdag na pahayag nito. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
