KUMAKALAT ngayon sa social media ang petisyon, hindi lamang ng mga medical practitioner kundi ng mga pribadong indibidwal para hingin ang ‘ulo’ ni Department of Health (DOH) Secretary
Francisco Duque at mga heneral na namamahala sa laban kontra COVID-19.

“We join our colleagues in the urgent, real, and valid demand for a “time out” amid the rising tide of COVID-19 cases. However, we advise against reverting back to any Duterte-style enhanced
community quarantine (ECQ) or lockdown,” bahagi ng petisyon na tinawag nilang Second Opinion.

Naglatag ng anim na kahilingan ang mga petitioner kabilang ang pagsibak kay Duque at mga general na namamahala sa Inter-agency task force (IATF).

“Leadership: Immediate removal of Health Secretary Duque and all of the generals and “czars” infesting the Inter-Agency Task Force, replacing them with team players from health and related
fields, who will immediately undertake a unified plan of action under a centralized leadership,” ayon sa petisyon.

Nais din ng mga ito na magkaroon ng agresibong pagkuha ng karagdagang health workers tulad ng 10,000 doctors, 20,000 nurse at bigyan ang mga ito ng maayos na suweldo, benepisyo at
proteksyon.

Nais din ng mga petitioner na maglaan ang gobyerno ng P90 Billion para pondohan ang mga health worker, covid-related infrastructure, equipment at community measures.

Pinakahuli sa kahilingan ng mga petitioner ay may kinalaman sa health information kung saan iminungkahi ng mga ito na magkaroon ng “immediate improvement of COVID-19 data processing
and management, by full disclosure of sources and manner of processing, and depoliticizing COVID-19 data by providing better access”.

Sa pamamagitan anila nito, mas maraming buhay ang maisasalba laban sa COVID-19  na patuloy na nananalasa ngayon sa bansa kaya nangunguna na tayo sa dami ng kaso sa Southeast Asia.

“We call for an end to all militaristic and fascist measures being done in the name of quarantine. Too many lives of healthcare workers have been needlessly lost due to the wrong priorities taken by this criminally-negligent, corrupt, and tyrannical government.

To honor our fallen colleagues is to demand a radical shift from the present blundering response to a scientific, public health, and pro-people response,” ayon pa sa petisyon.
