BI NAGBABALA VS FAKE OPERATIONS ORDERS

NAGBABALA ang Bureau of Immigration sa foreign nationals kaugnay sa ‘fake operations order’ na umiikot sa chat groups sa internet.

Sa isang advisory, sinabi ni BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco, ang operations order na may pamagat na ‘checking overstaying and illegal employment in various entertainment places’, ay hindi inisyu ng BI.

Ang fake order ay sinasabi na ang immigration personnel ay ipinag-utos na mag-inspect sa entertainment places sa Manila, kasama ang bars, KTVs, music houses, golf clubs, bowling alleys, internet cafes, amusement parks, casinos, hotels, guest houses, at restaurants para hanapin ang illegal aliens.

“No such order has been issued by the BI,” ani Tansingco. “Our operatives are not authorized to randomly inspect establishments, but instead are required to secure a mission order to conduct an arrest. A mission order is only issued upon thorough investigation and confirmation that the subject foreign national has indeed violated immigration laws,” dagdag pa niya.

Naniniwala si Tansingco na ang fake order ay ginagamit ng sindikato para ipanakot sa foreign nationals sa bansa at para makapang-scam sa kanila.

Kaugnay nito, sinabi pa ni Tansingco na kung sakaling mayroong malaman na ganitong gawain ay ipagbigay-alam sa local law enforcement agencies. (JOEL O. AMONGO)
