NASA P6.6 bilyong halaga ng droga ang nasamsam ng mga operatiba ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, sa winasak na crystal meth laboratory at nadiskubreng shabu warehouse sa Valenzuela City.

Sa ibinahaging report nitong Miyerkoles ng tanggapan ni PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani Nerez, isang clandestine shabu (crystal meth) laboratory ang sinalakay ng mga tauhan ng PDEA, katuwang ang Valenzuela City Police Office, kasunod ng naunang buy-bust operation na nagresulta para masamsam ang P6.6 bilyong halaga ng droga.

Unang nadakip ng PDEA, katuwang ang Philippine National Police, ang 30-anyos na high value target, na naninirahan sa Quezon City, na kinilalang si alyas “JP”, noong Linggo ng umaga.

Nahulihan ito ng kalahating kilo ng shabu na may street value na aabot sa P3.4 milyon. “The transaction led authorities to the discovery of the shabu laboratory, which had been the subject of sustained intelligence monitoring stemming from previous anti-drug operations,” ani PDEA Public Information Office chief and spokesperson Atty. Joseph Frederick R. Calulut.

Sinabi pa ni Atty. Calulot, nagresulta ito sa pagkadiskubre ng mga ahente ng PDEA sa isang warehouse sa loob ng industrial park sa Barangay Veinte Reales, Valenzuela City nitong Linggo ng umaga.

Nasamsam sa sinalakay na imbakan ng droga ang nasa 906.41 kilograms ng hinihinalang shabu na may halagang P6.16 bilyon, at 64.15 liters ng liquid shabu na may street value na aabot sa P436 milyon; bukod pa sa raw materials at mga equipment na gamit sa drug manufacturing operation, ayon sa PDEA.

“This is one of the most significant drug laboratory discoveries in recent years. The volume of shabu seized represents nearly one metric ton that would have otherwise flooded communities across Metro Manila and beyond,” sabi pa ni PDEA Director General Undersecretary Isagani R. Nerez.

Dagdag pa ni Usec. Nerez, “Part of our drug supply reduction efforts is to target clandestine laboratories which strike at the very heart of the illegal drug supply chain, crippling distribution networks before the illegal drugs can reach the streets”.
