NAGBIGAY ng P800 million ang Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) sa Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) para sa pagpapaayos ng mga pasilidad na gagamitin para sa 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Ang tseke na nagkakahalaga ng P800 ay iniabot ni PAGCOR chairperson Andrea Domingo kay PSC chairman William “Butch” Ramirez sa opisina ng PAGCOR kahapon.

Kasama sa mga opisyales na dumalo sa turnover ceremony sina PAGCOR President at Chief Operating Officer  Alfredo Lim at directors Gabriel Claudio at Reynaldo Concordia, at PSC Executive Director Merly Ibay.

Ang mga pasilidad na aayusin ay ang Ninoy Aquino Stadium (NAS), football field at track oval sa loob ng Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Malate, Manila at ang Philsports Multi-Purpose Arena sa Pasig City.

Ang NAS ay magsisilbing venue para sa weightlifting at taekwondo samantalang gagawin naman sa Philsports Multi-Purpose Arena ang indoor volleyball.

“We are trying to give you as much (help) as we can,” pahayag ni Domingo.

Tinawag naman ni Ramirez na legacy ang rehabilitation ng tatlong pasilidad.

“This is a good legacy of PAGCOR that under your watch all three facilities will be rehabilitated at this level,” ani Ramirez na tatayong Team Philippines chef de mission sa SEA Games na idaraos dito sa bansa sa ika-apat na pagkakataon.

“This P800 million is very sentimental for PSC because those structure has never been rehabilitated in this way,” dagdag ni Ramirez.
