MATAGAL nang katuwang ng gobyerno ang Providing Indigents with Timely Medical Assistance, Service, and Targeted Emergency Relief (Pitmaster) sa iba’t ibang mga programa nito.
Abala ang Pitmaster sa pagtulong sa mga nangangailangan noong kasagsagan ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Naging hulog din ito ng langit para sa mga biktima ng mga bagyo noong November 2020.
Layunin kasi ng foundation na mabigyan ng medical at financial assistance ang mga Pilipino.
Ang Pitmaster ay ang corporate social responsibility arm ng Lucky 8 Star Quest.
Mayroon itong 5,235 members at volunteers na karamihan ay mula sa gaming at livestock industries.
Kamakailan, naging katuwang ang Pitmaster sa “birthday TREEt” ni Cong. Joey Sarte Salceda para sa kalikasan na isinagawa sa Barangay San Francisco, Legazpi City.
Tinatayang 1,000 puno ang naitanim ng mga kinatawan ng foundation.
Bukod sa Pitmaster, kasama rin sa proyekto ang 2D District Office, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Regional Office V.
Nakasama rin nila sa programa ang ilang NGO volunteers, kasama ang PNP-PRO5, BFP ROV, BJMP, TOG5, NAVFORSOL, DOLE RFO5, DPWH 2DEO, PCA, AYFP members at barangay officials ng San Francisco.
Lumalawak naman ngayon ang adbokasiya ng Pitmaster.
Kaya nga ito na-nominate para sa 2022 Stevie Awards for Business.
“Because, the Foundation has been very fortunate to be led by Mr. Charlie “Atong” Ang, whose leadership of the organization has provided space for women like myself to occupy its important roles and positions. Men in positions of power in the business world must be open, willing, and enthusiastic about bring into their organizations the talents and energies of competent women,” ayon sa statement ng foundation.
Iginagawad ng Stevie Awards, Inc. ang parangal bilang pagkilala sa major business groups sa buong mundo dahil sa kanilang corporate at social responsibility efforts.
“The foundation was part of more than 1,500 nominations from 27 different countries that were shortlisted for the Most Valuable Non-Profit Response Category. It is set to receive the most coveted gold award,” wika ng foundation.
Ang Pitmaster Foundation ay sinasabing nanomina dahil sa “valuable support to the government during the pandemic and its immediate disaster response to affected communities devastated by five major typhoons from 2020 to 2022.”
