DOLE, HINIMOK NA BUMUO PA NG SPECIAL PROGRAM PARA SA MGA WALANG TRABAHO

MATAPOS maalarma sa datos ng unemployment, hinimok ni Senador Sonny Angara ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na bumuo ng special programs para sa lahat ng apektado ng COVID 19 pandemic.

Kasabay nito, pinuri ni Angara ang ahensya sa mga magagandang programang ipinatupad katulad ng Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES), Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) at Covid19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP).

Sinabi ni Angara na bagama’t mahalaga ang mga programang ito sa panahon ng krisis, kailangan din itong palawigin sa iba pang sektor upang matiyak na walang maiiwan.

“Malayo pa sa 2019 levels ang recovery ng ating mga local industries tulad ng tourism, transportation and the associated industries. We should come up with special programs that are targeted towards the heavily affected industries,” saad ni Angara.

“It’s a well established fact that Covid has exacerbated or made inequality worse. We’re adding to the ranks of poor people if we do not develop programs on the fly,” dagdag nito.
