MAGUINDANAO – Umaabot sa 29 kasapi ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters-Karialan Faction, ang sumuko sa mga tauhan ng AFP Western Mindanao Command sa lalawigan ng Maguindnao nitong katapusan ng buwan, ayon sa kanilang taga pagsalitang si Maj. Arvin Encinas kahapon.
Nagsalong ng kanilang high powered firearms at iba pang gamit pandigma ang sumukong BIFF members sa himpilan ng 33rd Infantry Battalion ng Philippine Army sa Barangay Zapakan, Rajah Buayan, Maguindanao.
“A holistic approach, applying military and non-military actions will be sustained, and hoping that the other various militant factions in the region will be laying down their arms,” pahayag naman ni Col. Jose Narciso, commander ng 601st Infantry Brigade.
Inihayag ni Maj. Gen. Diosdado Carreon, Joint Task Force Central Commander, lalo pa nilang paiigtingin ang kanilang opensiba sa lahat ng pinagkukutaan ng mga teroristang BIFF.
Kabilang sa mga sumuko si Mack Mangulamas, alyas “Midz/Macre”, company commander, at 28 pang kanyang mga tauhan.
“This massive surrender of the BIFF militants is attributed to the gallant soldiers of Joint Task Force Central, the local government units, BARMM officials, traditional and religious leaders, and the civilian community, who continue to converge for the attainment of peace and sustainable development in Central Mindanao,” pahayag ni Lt.
