4 ARMADONG CPP-NPA TERRORISTS HULI SA ARMY

APAT na CPP-NPA terrorists (CNTs) na armado ng matataas na kalibre ng baril ang nahuli ng mga kagawad ng Army’s 11th Infantry (Lapu-Lapu) Battalion at Philippine National Police sa Sitio, Tamlang, Barangay Talalak, Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental.

Kasunod ito ng inilunsad na AFP-PNP joint strike operation bilang pagtugon sa sumbong ng mga residente hinggil sa presensiya ng mga armadong CTGs sa area.

Kinilala ni Lieutenant Colonel Roderick Salayo, Acting Commanding Officer, 11IB, ang nadakip na communist terrorists na sina Roel Casilao alias “Garry,” commanding officer; Allan Ybañez alias “Ban,” Joselie Lasas alyas “Tete,” at Jestoni Lasas alyas “Tata,” pawang kasapi ng Lokal Guerilla Unit (LGU), South Eastern Front (SEF).

Nakuha sa kanila ang dalawang M14 rifles, isang M16 rifle, isang shotgun, tatlong magazines ng M14, iba’t ibang bala para sa M16 at shotgun, dalawang handcuffs, anim na disposable syringes, iba’t ibang flash drives, mapa ng Negros Oriental, assorted medicines, at subversive documents.

Ang dalawang may apelyidong Lasas ay may nakabinbing murder case at may nakalabas na warrant of arrest sa kasong murder.

“The apprehension of these CPP-NPA terrorists will not be the last. There will be more surrenders and apprehensions in the coming days as we intensify our combat operations against the CNTs in our area. We will be relentless in pursuing the communist-terrorists not only to capture but also to force them to surrender,” ani Lt. Col. Salayo.

Pinapurihan naman ni Colonel Leonardo Peña, commander, 302nd Infantry Brigade, ang 11IB sa paghuli nang buhay sa apat para hindi na makapaghasik ng karahasan sa lalawigan.

“A CPP-NPA terrorists-free Negros is achievable with you (Negrenses) on our side. Let us continue our effective collaborative efforts to allow peace and progress to prosper in this island,” dagdag pa Col. Peña. (JESSE KABEL)
