INIHAYAG ng Department of National Defense (DND) na kasalukuyan na silang nagsasagawa ng pag-aaral para higit pang mapalakas ang cybersecurity ng Pilipinas.

Ayon kay DND Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr., magsisimula muna sila sa umpisa at magsasagawa ng malalimang pag-analisa.

“So we have to start from base zero. We have had a gap analysis, and there’s a lot to do. We have to put in the right infrastructure, architecture, hardware, software, protocols, and digital hygiene,” ayon sa kalihim.

“Secondly, contrary to government rules of just-in-time, inventory, etc., we will be building in redundancy, taking into account vendor reliability or servicing reliability,” dagdag pa ng defense chief.

Paliwanag ni Secretary Teodoro, una sa lahat ang national security at may pangangailangan na makalikha ng government standards for accountability at prevention rules and regulations upang maiwasang maabuso.

Kaya mahalaga ang paglalagay ng tamang hardware, software, protocols, architecture at digital hygiene para mapalakas ang cybersecurity.
