Hinikayat ni Senador Grace Poe nitong Martes ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) na pabilisin ang pamamahagi ng ayuda o social amelioration program sa pamilyang apektado ng enhanced community quarantine sa Metro Manila at karatig bayan.

Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Poe na kailangan na kaagad ang P4,000 cash aid sa bawat pamilyang benepisaryo sa pinakamahusay sa pamamaraan at sa lalong madaling panahon upang matulungan silang maka-lampas sa epekto ng lockdown sa hanapbuhay.

“With the enhanced community quarantine depriving many of livelihood and jobs, it is imperative to throw a lifeline to affected families to keep them out of hunger while they help fight the virus by staying home,” aniya.

Sinabi ni Poe na nahaharap ang mamamayan sa pagtaas ng presyo ng pangunahing bilihin at pagtaas ng singil sa kuryente habang binubuno nila ang kawalan ng hanapbuhay.

“The financial assistance, although not enough, can help temporarily ease hunger pangs amid many households’ already decimated incomes,” paliwanag ni Poe.

“Our people expect the government to mend earlier challenges encountered to make the social amelioration distribution faster, more systematic and inclusive this time,” patapos niya. (ESTONG REYES)
