BILANG bagong talagang Bureau of Customs – Port of Cebu District Collector, si Atty. Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, ay pinangunahan ang Monday flag-raising ce­remony sa Subport of Mactan noong Agosto 14, 2023.

Ito ang kanyang inaugural flag-raising ceremony bilang bagong District Collector ng Port of Cebu.

Si Atty. Morales ay dating nagsilbi bilang District Collector ng Port of Clark mula Hunyo 20, 2023 hanggang Agosto 8, 2023.

Sa ilalim ng kanyang pamumuno, ang Port of Clark ay nakapagtala ng makabuluhang tagumpay sa revenue collection, border protection, at trade facilitation.

Bilang tugon sa mga dumalo, si District Collector Atty. Morales ay ipinarating ang kanyang taos pusong pasasalamat sa mainit na pagtanggap sa kanyang bagong papel.

Pinagtibay ni Morales ang kanyang pangako na pagtiyak ng mahigpit na pagsunod sa mga mandato ng Bureau of Customs habang inihahatid ang top-notch customs services na pakikipagtransakyon sa mga tao.

“As the new District Collector of the Port of Cebu, my marching order is to perform our three-fold mandate of revenue collection, trade facilitation, and border protection to the best of our ability.

I expect your commitment to help the Port achieve its monthly targets.

I earnestly call for your unwavering support and dedication to bolster productivity and efficiency in port operations. I believe that our close cooperation will ensure the Port’s exemplary performance this year under the guidance and leadership of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio.

Sa nasabing seremonya ay hindi lamang ‘sementado’ ang pagkakaisa sa pagitan ng Port of Cebu at kanilang Subports of Mactan, Dumaguete, at Bohol, kundi nagtakda rin ng estado para sa isang bagong panahon sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni District Collector Atty. Morales.

Ang kanyang matatag na pangako at panawagan para sa pakikipagtulungan ay nakahanda na upang patnuba­yan ang Port tungo sa mas malaking tagumpay sa customs operations na makikinabang ang local at international trade communities.
