NANINIWALA ang isang senador na magbubukas ng maraming trabaho sa mga Kapampangan at karatig lalawigan ang nakatakdang pagsasaayos ng Clark International Airport hanggang sa susunod na taon.

Ito ang nakikita ni Senador Joel Villanueva kung saan base sa pagtataya Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), posibleng nasa 200,000 indibiduwal ang mabibigyan ng trabaho.

“We have always thrown our support for infrastructure projects such as this facility. Airports have a multiplier effect on the local economy, and we will be looking at giving more jobs to our kababayans here in Central Luzon without them having the need to set off somewhere else,” sabi pa ni Villanueva.

Base umano sa pagtaya ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Department of Finance (DOF), sa oras na matapos ang konstruksyon ng P9.6-billion facility ay mapagsisilbihan nito ang nasa walong milyong pasahero at matatapos sa unang bahagi ng 2020.

“We are also optimistic that the expanded airport reinforces the reputation of Clark Freeport as one of the prime investment destinations in Central Luzon. The airport boosts Clark’s attractiveness to investors, and more investments generally lead to more jobs opportunities,” paliwanag pa ni Villanueva.
