“On the projection, the government, through the vaccine cluster, has already been eyeing for the inoculation of our children especially from ages 12 to 17,” ayon kay Mayor, tumayong kinatawan ni vaccine czar at NTF head Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., sa isinagawang Senate Committee on Basic Education, Arts and Culture hearing noong Miyerkoles.
“Nevertheless, there is already an action on the part of the vaccine cluster to ensure a steady supply of vaccines for September this year,” aniya.
Nauna rito, inirekomenda ng World Health Organization (WHO) ang pagbabakuna sa mga menor de edad na nakatira sa mga lugar na mayroong “high risks of community transmission”.
Binigyang diin ng WHO ang pangangailangan na iprayoridad ang vulnerable sectors gaya ng senior citizens at persons with comorbidities sa COVID-19 vaccination program. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
