BINITBIT ng mga tauhan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), ang tatlong indibidwal dahil sa pagtatayo ng ilegal na istruktura sa Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape sa Brgy. San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal.
Kinilala ni NBI Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Director Eric B. Distor ang mga suspek na sina Richie Cincoflores, Allan Seduco, at Rolly Olayaval.
Inaresto ang tatlo base sa impormasyong natanggap ng NBI na inukupahan at nagtayo ang mga suspek ng permanenteng istruktura nang walang permiso sa Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape na sakop ng National Integrated Protective Area System.
Nabatid na nagsagawa ng surveillance operations ang NBI- Environmental Crime Division (NBI-EnCD) at nang makumpirma ay saka sinalakay ang lugar noong Agosto 25, 2021 at inaresto ang mga suspek.
Ang mga suspek ay sinampahan ng kasong paglabag sa RA 7686 o “National Integrated Protected Areas System (NIPAS) Act of 1992” na inamyendahan bilang RA 11038 at Section 81 (formerly Section 71) ng Presidential Decree No. 705 o “The Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines”. (RENE CRISOSTOMO)
