LABAN-BAWI ang Malakanyang sa tatlong tradisyunal na holiday sa bansa base na rin sa kautusan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Layon nito na makarekober na ang ekonomiya mula sa epeko ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Sa Proclamation 1107, inanunsyong “special working days” ang mga sumusunod:
Nov. 2, 2021 – All Souls’ Day
Dec. 24, 2021 – Christmas Eve
Dec. 31 – New Year’s Eve

“For the country to recover from the adverse economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a need to encourage economic productivity by, among others, minimizing work disruption and commemorating some special holidays as special (working) days instead,” ayon kay Pangulong Duterte.
