CAVITE – Pormal nang sinampahan ng kaso ng Department of Education ang lima sa pitong high school teachers na inakusahang ng sexual harassment sa Bacoor City.

Ayon kay DepEd spokesman, Attorney Michael Poa , ang limang guro ng Bacoor National High School  ay nahaharap sa mga kasong grave misconduct, conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service, at violation of  DepEd Order 40, Series of 2012.

Sinabi rin ni Poa na suspendido na ng 90-days ang hindi pa pinangalanang  mga akusado.

Ipinatutupad ang zero-tolerance policy sa lahat ng pang-aabusong ginagawa sa mga paaralan lalo na sa mga estudyante.

Ayon pa kay Poa, sa pamumuno ni  Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte, determinado ang DepEd na siguraduhin na ang mga eskwelahan sa buong bansa ay ligtas para sa mga mag-aaral lalo  na sa pang-aabusong sekswal.

“We understand that reporting experiences of sexual abuse and violence are often hampered by fear and feeling of embarrassment, but we urge Kindergarten to Grade 12 victim-survivors to report these incidents directly to the Office of the Secretary. Please email complaints to depedabusereport@gmail.com,” ayon kay Poa.

Ang mga nais magbigay ng impormasyon o magsusumbong sa DepEd ay mananatiling confidential ang pagkakakilanlan.

“Help us help you bring these perpetrators to justice and end sexual abuse and violence in our schools,” sabi pa ni Poa. (CYRILL QUILO)
