UMABOT sa halos P70 milyon o 378 porsiyento ang paglaki ng yaman ni Vice President Sara Duterte mula 2008 hanggang 2024, ayon kay Bicol Saro Rep. Terry Ridon.
Ayon kay Ridon, chairman ng House Public Accounts Committee, batay ito sa mga rekord ng Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) ng Bise Presidente.
Sa datos aniya, nasa P18.493 milyon ang net worth ni Duterte noong 2008, na bahagyang bumaba sa P18 milyon noong 2009.
Ngunit sa pinakahuling SALN noong 2023 at 2024, batay sa kopyang hawak ng Office of the Ombudsman, umakyat ang kanyang net worth sa P77,508,841 at P88,512,370.22.
Sinabi ni Ridon na dapat suriin ng House Committee on Justice ang SALN records ni Duterte.
“And if we will base it from the original SALN at 2008 to the 2024 SALN, it is an increase… So we leave it to the Justice Committee as to whether or not we would consider it as a case of unexplained wealth, which is essentially part of the impeachment offenses,” ani Ridon.
Inihalintulad din niya ang sitwasyon sa kaso noon ni dating Chief Justice Renato Corona na na-impeach dahil sa isyu ng unexplained wealth.
Samantala, sinabi ni House Justice Committee chairman Gerville Luistro na ang mga ebidensya kaugnay ng umano’y unexplained wealth ni Duterte, kabilang ang bank deposits, ay hindi ilalatag sa komite kundi sa Senado na magsisilbing impeachment court.
