Malaki ang kumpiyansa
MALAKI ang paniwala ni Marinduque Rep Lord Allan Velasco na siya ang magiging Speaker ng Kamara pagdating ng Oktubre kaya’t hindi niya kailangang agawin pa ito mula kay Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano.
Ang pahayag ay ginawa ni Velasco matapos mismong sabihin ni Cayetano na planado ang kudeta sa Kamara at itinuturo ng speaker na nanguna ay ang mambabatas mula sa Marinduque.
“I am issuing this statement to once and for all end baseless reports attributed to unnamed sources and sly innuendos being peddled by certain camps with vested interests within and outside the halls of Congress on the supposed “coup plan” to change the leadership of the House of Representatives,” paliwanag ni Velasco
“To my kababayans, these reports are far from the truth,” dagdag pa ni Velason na naniniwala na ginawa upang sirain ang samahan sa Kamara at mawala sa focus ang mga mambabatas para tuparin ang mga legislative agenda ng Duterte administration.
Bago nagsimula ang 18th Congress noong Hulyo 2019, napagkasunduan ang term sharing at mismong si Pangulong Duterte ang bumuo ng kasunduan.
“From the beginning, I never had any intention of reneging on this agreement. Tayo po ay lalaking may isang salita,” giit pa kay Velasco.
“To my colleagues in Congress, let’s continue to do our mandate to serve our constituency and provide services to people who elected us into office. Our people deserve to enjoy the fruits of progress under President Duterte,” dagdag pa ng mambabatas. BERNARD TAGUINOD
