Bilang pagtupad sa kanilang mandato at pagpapahusay sa ‘public awareness and stakeholders’ engagement’, ang Bureau of Customs – Port of Batangas ay nagsagawa ng isang webinar on Importation of Motor Vehicles na dinaluhan ng mahigit 2,500 participants at live viewers.
Ang nasabing online seminar ay isang daan para ipakilala sa participants, viewers, at sa publiko ang step-by-step process sa pag-import ng mga motor vehicles.
Kabilang sa mga tinalakay ay kasama ang (1) documentary requirements in importing motor vehicles, (2) filing and processing of goods declaration for motor vehicles, (3) provisional Safeguard Duties on vehicles based on DTI regulations, (4) Advalorem Tax of automobiles based on BIR regulations, (5) issuance of Certificate of Payment, and (6) other relevant issuances on processing of said vehicle importation.
Ang resource speakers para sa webinar ay sina Ms. Eloisa P. Suarez, Acting Customs Operations Officer V at Ms. Evangeline P. Guelas, Customs Operations Officer III on Assessment Division.
Ang webinar ay uploaded sa official Facebook page ng Bureau of Customs-Port of Batangas para madaling makita ng mga stakeholders at general public para sa kanilang impormasyon.
Kaugnay nito, ang Bureau of Customs sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Commissioner Rey Guerrero at ang Port of Batangas sa pamumuno naman ni District Collector Ma. Rhea M. Gregorio ay nananatili sa kanilang pangako sa pagpapaganda ng kaalaman sa lahat ng kanilang implementing rules and regulations bilang suporta sa kanilang primary and secondary stakeholders.
