INAMIN ng Department of National Defense (DND) ang umano’y muling pambabarako ng mga Tsino sa mga lulan ng supply vessels na naghatid ng pagkain at gamot sa mga sundalong Pilipino na nakahimpil sa BRB Sierra Madre sa Ayungin Shoal.

Ayon kay Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, bagama’t matagumpay na naihatid ang mga sundalo ang kanilang mga pangangailangan, nakaranas pa rin ang mililitar na mga Pilipino ng aniya’y pananakot at panggigipit ng Chinese Coast Guard gamit ang mas maliit na rubber boats – bagay na agad naman umano niyang ipinagbigay-alam kay Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian.

“There was a Chinese coast guard ship in the vicinity which sent a rubber boat with three persons near the Sierra Madre while our boats were unloading and took photos and video. I have communicated to the Chinese ambassador that we consider these acts as a form of intimidation and harassment,” ayon pa sa Kalihim.

Martes ng tanghali nang muling tangkaing pumalaot ng Philippine Navy para ihatid ang mga pagkain, gamot at iba pang mga pangangailangan ng mga sundalong Pinoy na nakahimpil sa bahagi ng karagatang inaangkin ng bansang China, matapos silang itaboy ng Chinese Coast Guard tatlong araw na ang nakararaan. (JESSE KABEL)
