Maugong na usap-usapan sa Kamara ang ‘di umano’y napipintong pagpasok ni Tulfo bilang party-list representative sa ilalim ng ACT-CIS matapos magbitiw si ACT-CIS third nominee Jeffrey Soriano.
Batay sa umiiral na panuntunan ng batas na lumikha ng party-list system, pwedeng pumalit si Tulfo sa pwestong iniwan ni Soriano. Sa talaan ng Commission on Elections (Comelec), 4th nominee si Tulfo.
Pebrero 22 nang ilabas ng Kamara ang desisyon kaugnay ng inihaing pagbibitiw ni Soriano noong Pebrero 6 ng kasalukuyang taon.
“I move that we accept the resignation of Representative Jeffrey Soriano and for the secretary general to be instructed to drop from the roll of members of House, Representative Soriano effective immediately,” ayon kay House Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe.
