HANDA ang China na tulungan ang administrasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na tugunan at harapin ang sumisirit na presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin at ang kakapusan sa agricultural products.
“China is also willing to do its best to help the new administration to effectively deal with the rising prices and shortage of agricultural production materials, and work together to face the uncertainties of the world,” ayon kay Ambassador Huang Xilian sa isang forum.
Sinabi ni Huang kung paano ang economic recovery ng Pilipinas “demands a stronger booster,” kinikilala ang mga hamon na dala ng inflation at iba pang krisis.
“[China will] keep our doors open to more Philippine agricultural products and make more investment in the country, to facilitate Philippines’ efforts in accelerating industrialization and modernization and capacity-building for self-generated development,” dagdag na pahayag nito.
Ang mamimili sa mga nakalipas na linggo ay binulaga ng “skyrocketing” food prices sa gitna ng mahigpit na suplay at parehong mataas na presyo ng raw materials.
Samantala, binigyang-diin ni Marcos —nakatakdang pamunuan ang Department of Agriculture (DA), ang pangangailangan para sa mas masusing plano bukod sa emergency measures para tugunan ang mga nasabing usapin.
