TATANGGAP ng P500 hazard pay allowance kada araw ang lahat ng eligible workers ng Quezon City matapos aprubahan ng lokal na pamahalaan ang P250 million pondo para sa mga nagtrabaho sa panahon ng implementasyon ng enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) at modified ECQ.

“All our workers on-duty deserve to be fairly compensated for their sacrifices especially since they face the inevitable risk of contracting the virus,” ani Mayor Joy Belmonte.

“They deserve no less as they continue to support us in the delivery of our services and programs to the public,” dagdag niya.

Sa ilalim ng Ordinance No. SP-3025, s-2021, ang lahat ng mga manggagawang regular, contractual o casual position o ‘yung nasa contract of service, job order, o kapareho nito ay kwalipikadong makatanggap ng P500 hazard pay per day of duty.

Ang nasabing ordinansa ay ipinakilala nina Councilors Donny Matias, Peachy de Leon, at Majority Floor Leader Franz Pumaren.

Samantala, ang barangay personnel na may plantilla at contractual positions ay bibigyan din ng siyudad ng hazard pay na P200 per day sa ilalim ng Ordinance No. SP-3026, s-2021.

“Barangays are also encouraged to draw from their funds and to add up to P300 maximum as hazard pay to their staff who were on-duty during the period,” ani Assistant City Administrator for Fiscal Affairs Don Javillonar.

Ang iba pang bahagi ng National Capital Region ay isinailalim sa ECQ mula Marso 29 hanggang Abril 4, at pinalawig hanggang Abril 11.

Ang iba’t ibang areas sa bansa kasama na ang Quezon City ay isinailalim sa MECQ mula Abril 12 hanggang Abril 30, at pinalawig hanggang Mayo 14. (JOEL O. AMONGO)
