Mandaluyong City– A bettor from Bulacan won the jackpot prize of 5.9 million pesos in the Lotto 6/42 drawn last July 4, 2023.
His winning ticket, with the combination 10-19-31-27-18-25, ensured the lucky bettor of his dream house. “Matutupad ko na ang pangarap kong bahay,” he said. A loyal patron since the start of the Lotto in 1995, the new millionaire revealed that he had won five (5) digits twice in his life and oftentimes four (4) and three (3) digit winnings.
He added that it was definitely thrilling to witness that all of the numbers in his winning combination were drawn and was uttered in the PCSO’s livestream, saying, “Habang nanonood po ako ng Facebook Live ng PCSO, ‘di ko na mapaliwanag ang nararamdaman ko. Sanay naman ako na manalo sa lotto ng consolation prizes pero iba na pag jackpot na.”
He then mentioned his trust in the PCSO Lotto draws. “Sa mahigit na 20 taon na pagtangkilik ko sa PCSO, ‘di ako nawalan ng pag-asa, kahit papaano nananalo naman ako ng consolation. Kaya payo ko sa mga kagaya kong mananaya, patuloy lang tayo magtiwala sa PCSO at sa Panginoon dahil hindi natin masasabi kung kalian tayo papapalarin,” he said.
He claimed his winnings, totaling P5,940,000.00, at the PCSO Main Office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, on July 07, 2023.
Under the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, prizes above Php10,000.00 are subject to a 20% final tax.
All winnings should be claimed within one year from the date of the draw or otherwise be forfeited to form part of the charity fund in accordance with the PCSO Charter (Republic Act No. 1169).
