NASA P6 milyong halaga ng marijuana ang sinira sa inilunsad na joint AFP-PNP-PDEA operation sa bayan ng Mawab, Davao de Oro.
Ayon sa ulat, nagawang sirain ng government security forces ang tinatayang P6 milyong halaga ng marijuana plantation sa isinagawang joint anti-illegal drugs operation sa Sitio Bunlak, Brgy. Kasapa I, Loreto, Agusan del Sur.
Kabilang sa mga elemento na nagsagawa ng marijuana eradication ang mga sundalo mula sa 60th Infantry (Mediator) Battalion, 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, Philippine Army, katuwang ang Loreto Municipal Police Station (MPS), 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Agusan del Sur Provincial Forensic Unit, at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Base sa ibinahaging report ng PDEA, sa kasagsagan ng marijuana eradication, nangolekta ng representative samples ang mga kasamang forensic personnel para sa kaukulang laboratory examination.
Habang ang nalalabing tanim ay agad na sinira sa lugar sa pamamagitan ng pagsunog na nasaksihan ng required insulating witnesses para matiyak ang transparency at proper documentation.
Ang nasabing operasyon ay nagresulta sa pagbunot at pagsunog sa tinatayang 23,431 fully grown plants na nakatanim sa 12,000-square-meter marijuana plantation.
Pinapurihan naman ni Major General Alvin Luzon, commander ng10th Infantry (Agila) Division, tropa ng 60th Infantry Battalion at kanilang mga katuwang mula sa law enforcement agencies, sa kanilang matagumpay na operation.
“I commend our troops and our partner agencies in the Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for their unwavering commitment to the government’s campaign against illegal drugs.
“This successful operation demonstrates the strength of interagency cooperation in protecting our communities from illegal activities. We will continue to support law enforcement efforts to ensure that those who violate the law are held accountable,” sabi pa Major General Luzon.
