BINALAAN ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang mga traveller o byahero laban sa pagpiprisinta ng “pekeng” negative COVID-19 test results lalo na sa tourist spots ng bansa.
Sa kanyang Talk to the People, Lunes ng gabi, inatasan ni Pangulong Duterte ang Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of Tourism at lahat ng local government units na arestuhin ang mga magpapakita ng fake negative COVID-19 test results at magpatupad ng mahigpit na pagsunod sa protocols sa local tourism.
“‘Wag ho ninyong gawin ‘yan at makokompromiso kayo. Pati ‘yung gastos ninyo. Kindly check twice over where you have genuine certificate,” ayon kay Pangulong Duterte.
“Arrest those presenting fake tests and enforce strict compliance of protocols of local tourist,” dagdag na pahayag ng chief executive.
Sinabihan din niya ang concerned government agencies na huwag matakot na patawan ng kaparusahan ang mga indibiduwal na mahuhuling namemeke ng COVID-19 tests.
Nauna rito, sinabi ng PNP na ang mahuhuling namemeke ng COVID-19 tests ay mahaharap sa falsification of public documents at paglabag sa Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act.
Multang P50,000 at pagkakulong ng “at least a month but not more than six months” ang parusa sa mahuhuling violators sa pamemeke nito. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
