TINATAYANG P4.2 milyong ang halaga ng COVID-19 test kits ang nasabat ng intelligence operatives ng Philippine Air Force, sa tulong ng Quezon City District Field Unit-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (QCDFU-CIDG) sa apat na online sellers na nagbebenta ng rapid test kits noong Martes ng hapon sa Pasig City.
Ayon kay Lt. Col. Maynard P. Mariano, chief, Air Force Public Affairs Office, nasa 21,000 kits (P200.00/kit) ng Konsung Brand COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits na P4,200,000 ang halaga, ang kanilang nakumpiska sa apat na mga suspek.
Dinala sa tanggapan ng QCFDU-CIDG ang apat na nadakip para sa follow-up investigation habang inihahanda ang kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9711 (FDA Act of 2009) in Relation to FDA Advisory No. 2020- 016 (Prohibition of Online Selling of FDA Certified COVID-19 Antibody Test Kits).
“Rest assured, the PAF will continue to work hand-in-hand with different government units to apprehend individuals who are illegally selling COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits,” ani Mariano. (JESSE KABEL)
