TINIYAK ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) na may salary adjustment sa hanay ng mga government employee sa susunod na taon.

Tugon ito ng departamento sa hirit ng ilang unyon mula sa pampublikong sektor na itaas ang minimum salary ng mga empleyado ng gobyerno.

“The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) wishes to note that the last tranche of the modification of the salary schedule for civilian personnel pursuant to Republic Act No. 11466 or the Salary Standardization Law V will be implemented in 2023. Hence, government employees concerned will have another salary adjustment by next year,” ayon sa DBM.

Idinagdag ng ahensiya na anomang pagtaas sa suweldo ng mga kawani ng pamahalaan ay kailangang dumaan sa legislative measure.

At sa sandaling naihain na ang bill ukol dito sa kapwa mataas at mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso, dito sila magbibigay ng kanilang inputs, komento at rekomendasyon.

Sa ilalim ng FY 2023 National Expenditure Program (NEP), nakasaad na “DBM have likewise provided around P47 billion under the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) budget to support the conduct a study on the government compensation structure of the different national government agencies and GOCCs, to, among others, ensure that the compensation of all civilian personnel will be generally competitive with those in the private sector doing comparable work to attract, retain, and motivate corps of competent and dedicated civil servants.”

Paliwanag ng DBM, huhugutin ang 2023 salary adjustment sa last tranche sa bisa ng Republic Act No. 11466 o ang Salary Standardization Law 5 na ipatutupad sa susunod na taon.

“On the grant of gratuity pay to job order and contract of service workers, the DBM is preparing the corresponding executive issuance for the purpose, which will be endorsed to the Office of the President for consideration,” lahad nito.
