ITINUTULAK ni Senador Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa na gawing institusyon ang anti-drug abuse council (ADAC) sa bawat bahagi ng bansa upang mapanatili ang giyera kontra sa ilegal na droga ng administrasyong Duterte at masiguro ang isang mas ligtas na hinaharap para sa bawat Pilipino.

Sa kanyang Senate Bill No. 1952 o “An Act Institutionalizing Anti-Drug Abuse Councils in Provinces, Cities, Municipalities, and Barangays, Appropriating Funds Therefor, and For Other Purposes,” sinabi ni Dela Rosa na panahon na para matiyak ang paglahok ng bawat sektor ng lipunan sa paglilinis ng lahat ng local government units sa lahat ng ilegal na kargamento.

“In view of the continuous efforts of the Duterte administration, active and unified involvement of various government and non-government agencies is necessary to sustain and ensure that all local government units will be free from illegal drug activities, one of the major problems of the country,” ayon kay Dela Rosa.

“Our proposed measure seeks to institutionalize the Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) which will act as the main implementing organs for the prevention, rehabilitation and monitoring of drug dependency cases,” dagdag pa nito.

Iginiit ni Dela Rosa, chairman ng Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, na epektibo sa ibang syudad ang pagkilos.

“This was effectively implemented in Davao City during the mayoralty of President Duterte. Similarly, Senate President Vicente Sotto III also founded the Quezon City Anti-Drug Abuse Advisory Council when he was still the vice mayor of the said city,” sabi pa ni Dela Rosa.

Inihalimbawa pa ng senador ang nangyari sa lungsod ng Quezon na naging epektibo ang pagkakaroon ng dedikadong konseho na nagbibigay ng prayoridad sa mga programa laban sa ilegal na droga.

“This measure, once passed, will also aid the government in attaining a drug-free Philippines by the year 2022,” ani Dela Rosa.

Sa records ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, natuklasang nasa 15,388 barangay pa ang apektado ng ilegal na droga. (NOEL ABUEL)
