MAKATATANGGAP ng karagdagang allowance ang mga public health worker na nasa frontlines na lumalaban sa coronavirus.

Ang mga health frontliner ay makatatanggap ng quarter ng kanilang basic pay bilang one-time special risk allowance bukod sa kanilang hazard pay, base sa Administrative Order No. 28.

“There is a need to recognize the heroic and invaluable contributions of our public health workers throughout the country, who bravely and unselfishly risk their lives and health by being at the forefront of the national effort to address the public health emergency,” ang nakasaad sa kautusan ni Pangulong Duterte.

Ang National government agencies, government-owned or controlled corporations, at lahat ng local government units ay pinapayagan na magbigay ng special risk allowance sa “public health workers who have great exposure to health risks and physical hardships in the line of duty, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Ang mga public health worker na eligible para sa special risk allowance ay ang medical, allied medical, at iba pang personnel na nakatalaga sa mga ospital at healthcare facilities, at iyong mga direktang nagsisilbi o may contact sa COVID-19 patients, persons under investigation o persons under monitoring.

Ito ay maaaring civilian employees na regular, contractual, casual o part-time positions, o manggagawa na konektado sa contract of service o job order kabilang na ang mga barangay health workers na nakatalaga sa mga ospital at iba pang healthcare facility. CHRISTIAN DALE
