PARA sa Malakanyang, ang pagbaba ng trust at performance ratings ni Vice President Sara Duterte sa pinakabagong OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa survey ay sumasalamin sa pananaw ng publiko sa kanyang naging kontribusyon sa pagtugon sa mga pangunahing suliranin ng bansa.

Ayon kay Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary at Palace Press Officer Claire Castro, ipinakikita rin ng survey na hindi tinatanggap ng publiko ang pahayag ni Duterte na propaganda lamang ng administrasyon ang impeachment case laban sa kanya.

“The survey shows that the evidence presented in the impeachment trial is not just for propaganda but the truth,” ani Castro.

“Filipinos should clearly see who is genuinely working and who is doing nothing but attacking others,” dagdag niya.

Iniugnay rin ni Castro ang pagbaba ng ratings ng Bise Presidente sa umano’y kabiguan nitong tumulong sa pamahalaan sa pagtugon sa inflation at pagtaas ng presyo ng langis bunsod ng krisis sa Gitnang Silangan.

“All she does is criticize, but she has not offered any concrete solutions,” aniya.

Batay sa pinakahuling OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa survey na isinagawa mula Hulyo 4 hanggang 11, 2026 sa 1,200 respondents, kapwa bumaba ang trust at performance ratings nina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Vice President Sara Duterte. May margin of error itong ±3 porsyento.

Bumaba ang trust rating ni Pangulong Marcos sa 49 porsyento mula sa 54 porsyento noong Marso, habang ang kanyang performance rating ay bumaba sa 47 porsyento mula sa 55 porsyento.

Samantala, bumaba ang trust rating ni Vice President Duterte sa 47 porsyento mula sa 55 porsyento, habang ang kanyang performance rating ay bumaba sa 45 porsyento mula sa 50 porsyento.

Samantala, sinabi ni House Prosecution Panel Spokesperson at Lanao del Sur Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong na ang pagbaba ng trust at performance ratings ni Vice President Duterte ay indikasyon na masusing sinusubaybayan ng publiko ang nagpapatuloy na impeachment trial sa Senado.

“The latest survey simply suggests that as more information reaches the public, many Filipinos are reassessing their views. That is precisely why the impeachment trial exists—to allow the evidence to be presented openly and fairly,” ani Adiong.

Gayunman, binigyang-diin niyang hindi dapat maging batayan ng magiging desisyon ng Impeachment Court ang resulta ng mga survey.

“Neither high nor low survey numbers should determine the outcome of an impeachment case. The only basis for judgment must be the evidence presented before the Impeachment Court,” giit ni Adiong.

Ayon pa sa kongresista, nakatuon ang House prosecution panel sa paghaharap ng mga dokumentaryong ebidensya, testimonya ng mga saksi at iba pang ebidensyang naaayon sa Konstitusyon.

“Our responsibility is not to influence surveys but to present facts. The Senate, sitting as an Impeachment Court, must decide the case based on the Constitution and the evidence—not on public opinion,” dagdag niya.

Nanawagan din si Adiong sa publiko na personal na subaybayan ang buong paglilitis sa halip na umasa lamang sa maiikling video o komentaryo sa social media upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng maling impormasyon.

“The best safeguard against misinformation is for our people to see the proceedings themselves. Let the evidence speak, and let every Filipino judge the facts with an open mind,” pagtatapos ni Adiong.
