BUNSOD ng matagumpay na ‘Build, Build, Build,’ project ng pamahalaan kaugnay ng mga infrastructure project ay dapat na gawin din ito sa quality tertiary education sa buong bansa.

Ayon kay Senador Pia Cayetano, inihain nito ang Priority Infrastructure for Public Higher Education Institutions Act, na tinawag nitong  ‘Build, Build, Build’ Program for Education Bill na pangunahing layunin ay bigyan prayoridas ang edukasyo  sa bansa.

Nakapaloob sa nasabing panukala ang 5-taong priority infrastructure plan na may laang pondo na P10 bilyon para sa pagsasaayos ng pasilidad ng nasa 112 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) sa buong bansa.

“Thus, there is a need to enact a law ensuring that the facilities made available to students are well-equipped and of high quality,” sabi ni Cayetano.

“Classrooms remain overcrowded and hallways are still being used as classrooms in many SUCs. There is also a shortage of Science and Computer laboratories. These conditions are not optimal for learning and likewise for teaching. Poor educational infrastructure impedes the intellectual growth and health of the youth,” dagdag pa nito.

Umaasa ito na malaking tulong ang nasabing panukala para matiyak na mabibigyan ang magandang edukasyon sa bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagpapabuti ng pasilidad hanggang sa taong 2030.
